David A. Herrera
The son of a diplomat, David grew up in Spain, Mexico, Chile and his native Southern California. Before CAM, his career path included stints as a limousine company owner, flower shop de-thorner and microsystems coordinator for Ernst & Young in Madrid. He joined CAM in 1991, working his way up to company president in 2003. David has direct experience in every aspect of CAM’s operations, sales and management. He helped expand the company’s service offerings and opened new market territories. A past president of ACRE Southern California, an active member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), as well as a member of the board of directors for The Harmony Project, David holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine. He enjoys golfing, yoga and biking on The Strand in the South Bay.
Director of Strategic Initiatives
With a background in sales and account management, Matt has formed strong business relationships with many of CAM’s clients. As Director of Strategic Initiatives, Matt develops, oversees, and implements programs and projects designed to support CAM’s visions. The UCSD graduate has gained experience in anticipating clients’ needs and working to keep their properties in peak condition, whether the service is in the landscape, hardscape, construction, or building services divisions. In his spare time, Matt enjoys camping, photographing the Milky Way, and listening to country and jazz music.
Director of Marketing & Talent Management
Heather oversees all communications, promotions and trade shows, and ensures clients are kept updated about the newest products and services via social media and email. Heather also helps CAM attract and retain top talent and handles internal communications to ensure team members are aware of training and education opportunities to promote their growth and career advancement, Superbly educated, Heather is armed with degrees from San Diego State and Sweden’s Linkoping University. In her off hours, she’s a photography bug and hiking aficionado.
Landscape Division Manager
With over 25 years of experience in the landscape industry, Julio brings a fresh, creative perspective on the management of our landscape team. With certifications in maintenance, irrigation, turf maintenance, application, and water management, Yslava has extensive experience in construction and maintenance of key landscaping contracts. He’s implemented pest management programs as well as organized safety programs and irrigation evaluation in past positions at Green Horizons Landscape, ValleyCrest, and TruGreen. In his spare time, Yslava reads sci-fi and plays softball.
Ricardo Garcia de la Vega
Day Porter & Building Services Division Manager
Ricardo brings over 20 years of experience in the janitorial industry to CAM Services, having previously owned his own janitorial company and worked for a Fortune 500 company. He brings an expert’s perspective to the Building Services division and as Division Manager, controls the Day Porter and Janitorial services. In addition to optimizing the performance of crews, Ricardo is working on new projects to streamline operational processes within the company. In his free time, Ricardo enjoys racing his Ducati motorcycle, golfing, hiking with his wife, and spending time with his family.
Sweep & Steam Operations Manager
Daniel oversees the sweep and steam operations of all five branches. He ensures contract retention, works with our Area Managers and Property Supervisors, and oversees both in-house and subcontracted crews to verify that they are following CAM’s standard operating guidelines. His previous experience at RueVac Property Services prepared him for his current position. He met with customers, and the sales and field teams; Daniel’s biggest takeaway was ensuring service quality and consistency to customers, giving him valuable experience in both operations and account management. When he’s away from the office, Daniel enjoys camping and fishing.
Construction Division Manager
In his 40 years of construction experience, Jeff has built more than 200 shopping centers from the ground up in California, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. The South Bay native has a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology/construction from Long Beach State and previously served as director of construction for CalAsia Property Development. When he isn’t building stuff, Jeff is an avid golfer who also likes camping, fishing, NASCAR and sprint cars.
Office Manager & Bookkeeper
Julie first began at CAM in the Accounts Receivable department, where she was responsible for billing, collections, and deposits. As time went on, however, Julie’s responsibilities increased, and today, as Office Manager & Bookkeeper, her main role is to manage the admin pool. In addition to her responsibilities in Accounts Payable, processing payroll, and preparing the month-end financials, she oversees the Administrative team and assists with daily requests and responsibilities. In her free time, Julie enjoys swimming, biking, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
